March 19, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians,
State officials have ordered “all accredited public schools to cease operations effective March 17th until April 6th. Cessation of operations includes all instructional services, grading, all extra-curricular activities, staff development, training, or conferences." This effort is to slow the spread of the pandemic COVID-19 virus in our state. We agree with State officials that the safety of our students, staff, and families should be the primary focus.
To provide services to our student community, we are developing a plan to provide meals for drive-by pick-up at the school beginning March 23, 2020, from 10:30-11:30 AM Monday thru Friday. This information will be posted on our district website, Facebook page and through our robo-call system.
If you haven’t been contacted by your child’s teacher and would like to receive meals, please contact us at 405-275-6092 Monday at 8:30 or contact your child’s teacher. Provide your name, contact number and total in household 18 and under. We understand that you may be a caretaker for individuals that are not typically our students; they will count, too.
Remember, Pleasant Grove Public School will remain closed until April 6, 2020. We will continue to provide updated information regarding school closure.

Pleasant Grove Public School is working hard to implement the new Oklahoma Academic Standards focused on preparing students for College, Careers and Citizenship. This includes the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), adopted in 2010, for English language arts and mathematics for grades PreK‐12. Oklahoma Academic Standards serve as expectations for what students should know and be able to do by the end of the school year. The development, review and revision process involves stakeholders throughout the state of Oklahoma and is an ongoing and critical component to ensure Oklahoma students in every classroom receive current and relevant learning experiences.
